Michelle Wilhelm of Delaware, Ohio was skeptical when she got a telephone call informing her that she was the grand prize winner of MobileBrochure’s $11,000 Smoky Mountain vacation.
“I was wondering when he was going to ask for my credit card information or tell me that I had to sit through a long timeshare presentation,” Wilhelm said. “I never really believed that people actually won these giveaways.”
Wilhelm soon discovered that the prize package wasn’t a sales ploy and that she and her family would soon be getting a free seven-day Smoky Mountain vacation from MobileBrochure® that included a large cabin rental, tickets to all of the area’s best attractions, spending money and food.
Wilhelm entered the contest last year after she and her husband, Grant Wilhelm, brought their children to the Smokies for their first visit. While waiting for the tram in Gatlinburg, Wilhelm snapped a photo of a sign advertising MobileBrochure’s Smoky Mountain Vacation Giveaway. By the time she got home to Delaware, Ohio where the family lives, she forgot about the photo.
“When I was going through pictures of our vacation, I saw the photograph of the contest ad and I went ahead and entered,” Wilhelm explained. “I only entered once, so I never dreamed I would win. Even after MobileBrochure® called, I didn’t really believe it.”
MobileBrochure® (www.MobileBrochure.com) is a powerful new web app that connects restaurants, hotels and attractions to tourists before, during and after a trip. The second version of the MobileBrochure® web app, Smokies To Go, debuted last month and the company will soon expand to other popular towns and tourist destinations.
With a dynamic interactive interface, Smokies To Go recommends things to do, places to go and things to see while on vacation in the Smoky Mountain Region of Tennessee and North Carolina. MobileBrochure® functions like a digital version of the “literature brochure racks” found in hotel lobbies, restaurants, gas stations and tourist attractions. MobileBrochure® provides information ̶ including specials, photos, videos, maps, purchasing options, website links, hours of operation, and more ̶ in real time, and updates information whenever necessary. It also provides recommendations custom-tailored to a tourist’s interests.
The Wilhelm family will begin their free Smoky Mountain vacation from MobileBrochure® later this month. All three of their children, Kristi, Lauren and Nate, will be traveling with them.
Included in the $11,000 vacation package are prizes, tickets and accommodations from Dixie Stampede, Ripley’s, Dollywood, Pilot, Food City, Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Show, Smoky Mountain Riding Stables, The Island, Foxfire Mountain Adventure Park, Wonderworks, Star Cars, Gatlinburg Skylift, Fireworks Supermarket, The Track, Pancake Pantry, Tanger Outlets, NASCAR Speedpark and $1,000 spending money.
