The Home Builders Association of Greater Knoxville (HBAGK) 2016 Parade of Homes opened this weekend on Friday, Sept. 30 and continues every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until Oct. 16. This year’s Parade of Homes features more than 40 new homes in all price ranges.
The Parade of Homes is a free event designed to showcase new homes from the region’s best builders – the HBAGK members. Attendees will see a variety of homes designed to fit all budgets and will also get great ideas for their existing homes if they aren’t in the market to buy. The Parade of Homes provides potential homebuyers and remodelers with a hands-on, in-person experience that better prepares them for purchasing a home or renovating their current residence.
“This year’s Parade of Homes is our best one yet,” said Ashley Burnette, executive vice president of the Home Builders Association of Greater Knoxville. “We literally have something for everyone – from first homes to dream homes, and everything in between. We have something for young people and young families all the way up to the high-end homes people dream about.”
The 2016 HBAGK Parade of Homes, sponsored by ORNL Federal Credit Union and Tindell’s, showcases homes throughout Knox, Sevier, Blount, Anderson and Loudon counties.
“There really isn’t a better time to spend an afternoon driving around looking at homes,” Burnette said. “Fall is a gorgeous time in East Tennessee, and it’s a great way to spend some time taking in the beautiful fall scenery while looking at spectacular properties.”
According to Burnette, the Parade of Homes greatest advantage is that it’s a tremendous source of inspiration for anyone who is considering a new home or a home-improvement project because the builders always showcase the latest home styles and design trends.
The 2016 Parade of Homes is open from noon to 5 p.m. every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until Oct. 16.
