The 407 and its tenant Buc-ee’s made big news today during the official Grand Opening of the world’s largest convenience store.

The Grand Opening was covered by all major television networks, newspapers and magazines throughout the Southeast United States, and nationally by the TODAY Show.

People started arriving on Sunday for the Grand Opening Monday morning June 26, 2023 and traffic in and around Exit 407 was heavy long before sunrise.

The Grand Opening was covered by all major television networks, newspapers and magazines throughout the Southeast United States, and nationally by the TODAY Show.

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee and other elected officials attended and participated in the opening ceremony. Buc-ee’s co-founder Beaver Aplin also spoke at the event.

The Buc-ee’s location in Sevierville is just the first of many high-profile tenants coming to The 407 (a client of Rick Laney Marketing). The property is owned by our client Kituwah, LLC – which is owned by the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI) – and our client OE Experiences serves as consultants, owner’s representatives, and co-developers of immersive dining, themed hospitality, and location-based entertainment projects across the United States, including The 407.

Construction at The 407 started two years ago and the property’s entertainment district — called Smoky Gap — is now under construction. Smoky Gap will be home to world-renowned attractions, restaurants, retail, and hotels.
