The Home Builders Association of Greater Knoxville (HBAGK) 2017 Parade of Homes™ opens on Friday, Oct. 6 and continues every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until Oct. 22. This year’s HBAGK Parade of Homes™ – co-sponsored by ORNL Federal Credit Union and Tindell’s – features more than 40 new homes from the area’s best, most trusted builders across seven East Tennessee Counties.

The HBAGK 2017 Parade of Homes™ promises to introduce East Tennessee residents to many new and modern home concepts from the region’s premier builders. The three-weekend event features homes ranging from $154,900 to over $2 million. While viewed as a showcase of what is possible in a modern home, the HBAGK Parade of Homes™ has something to offer buyers in all budget ranges.

Those who already own a home and are not in the market to build or buy will also find an endless number of ideas to upgrade, modernize and remodel their existing home.

“The 2017 Home Builders Association of Greater Knoxville Parade of Homes™ is the region’s premier showcase of homes,” said Dan Mitchell, 2017 HBAGK Parade of Homes™ co-chair. “We literally have something for everyone. There are starter homes, mid-range homes, retirement homes and multi-million-dollar dream homes … and everything in between. Even if you aren’t in the market for a new home, we spotlight all the latest offerings in kitchens, bathrooms, home entertainment, and living spaces at the HBAGK Parade of Homes. It truly is an event for everyone.”

Last year’s HBAGK Parade of Homes™ saw record-breaking attendance and the 2017 Parade of Homes is expected to draw even bigger crowds. The free event provides one-on-one access to builders and their representatives at each showcase home, making it a must-see event for those actively building homes now and those thinking about building in coming years.

“The Parade of Homes™ is the only place you can go and walk through one new home after another – as many times as you want – and meet directly with builders at each home in a single afternoon,” said Eric Weekley, 2017 Parade of Homes™ co-chair. “These are the best, most innovative builders and vendors in the industry, and because they’re all Home Builders Association members, people know they are professional, experienced and trustworthy.”

This year’s HBAGK Parade of Homes™ includes 41 distinct showcase homes in Knox, Anderson, Blount, Loudon, Monroe, Sevier and Union counties. A complete listing of homes is available in the guidebook and on the free MyHomeFound app for iPhone and Android phones. The free app includes GPS directions to each property.

“We encourage everyone to use the MyHomeFound app,” Weekley said. “It delivers a streamlined experience for attendees and allows you to sort the showcase homes by price range, location or the features you are interested in. Once you identify the homes and builders you want to visit, the app will even map out the easiest route for you to get from location to location. It really adds to the overall Parade of Homes™ experience.”

The Parade of Homes™ showcases the work and capabilities of East Tennessee’s premier builders, the trusted members of HBAGK, and exposes consumers to the newest home-related products, technologies and designs. Consumers see first-hand what they can get for their money at a variety of price-points.

“The Home Builders Association of Greater Knoxville represents thousands of the best builders and suppliers in Knox and 15 other surrounding counties,” Mitchell said. “These are the builders and suppliers anyone even thinking about a new home should be seeking out. You won’t find a more experienced or trustworthy group of professionals in this industry.”
